These designs were inspired by the New York Times magazine and some designs on Pinterest. I adapted them for use in our magazine. The page editors took these templets and inserted the stories and photos on their pages into the spots in order to keep the magazine consistent. The struggles came from the varying story lengths. To fix this, we cut stories down, added pull quotes or linked back to our website for the full story.
