These designs were inspired by the New York Times Magazine. The sideways layout caught my attention as I flipped through the pages in that magazine and I thought it would be fun for ours. Of course, all the spreads had to be adapted. For example, in the New York Times magazine, the sideways page didn't actually have text on it, just a title and a name. This was the first design package I created, and I love the extra element of interest it added to the US Magazine. After creating this one, I immediately began collecting design inspiration for the next year's magazine.
